The Nursery

Since I haven't been keeping up on outfit photos I thought I'd share the nursery with you. The bedrooms in our house are pretty small, so it's hard to get decent pictures. It's not quite finished yet either, but you get the main idea. We're starting with a Pac N' Play instead of crib and we also have a bassinet for our bedroom. Obviously a baby only needs one swing, so one will go my parent's house or downstairs and the other will go in our upstairs living room. Organization is import to me so I bought baskets for the changing table shelves and the closet's overhead shelf (not pictured).

I painted this room a couple years ago hoping it would be a nursery one day, but knowing it would be a fun color even if it was just a guest room. We are having a boy, but blue is not my thing so I went with bright yellow and greens. I love green. And green is the perfect compliment to yellow!

A couple diaper cakes I received.

Hubs rides a Harley, so of course we got a diaper motorcycle. Isn't it adorable!

And thank goodness my mom has come over a couple times to help me get organized. Who knew a little person could need so much stuff?  He's got a good number of cute little outfits in his closet already. There's a chest of drawers in the closet too with onsies, towels and blankets all washed up and ready for baby.

We just bought a diaper genie, high chair seat, bathing set and a stroller with a car seat. Holy smokes those car seats are big in my little car!

And there are still a few things on my list:
-baby monitor
-cubbie shelf with fabric drawers
-Natural Baby toiletries
-curtain tie backs and hooks
-forehead thermometer
-bottles
-a few odds and ends and nursing supplies

What were/are your nursery essentials?

  1. The nursery is adorable! I love the fun yellow and green combo and that you didn't do the standard blue. The motorcyle is too cute with the frog.

Burp cloths and a baby monitor were essentials. I ditched the diaper genie after a week. I hope you had better luck than I did! Heather
