Ringing in The New Year

We spent New Year's Eve at a hotel with four of our besties. It was great fun! We shared our table with some other hotel guests - I think they were thoroughly entertained...or embarrassed. A New Orleans style buffet (for the non-gluten intolerant) and chicken, steamed veggies and rice for me. A live band from 9pm-1am. After dinner and a few drinks (pinapple-7up for me) we got up and danced. I made it through 2.5 songs, then I was tuckered out and the belly was asking for a sit. But it was still a blast! Time went by quickly and soon we were watching the countdown with drinks in hand. Husband and I clinked glasses and kissed at the stroke of midnight! It was lovely. I love ringing in the new year with him. It's always special.

My girlfriend C got the best picture of my belly yet! I love this one! I felt so sexy in my Isabella Oliver dress. (Thanks to Marionberry Style for an awesome giveaway!) Every time I turned around people were commenting on my baby bump. I definitely wasn't hiding it and it sticks way out there so I was bound to get a few comments. This outfit is a real head turner. Husband was even blown away!

I added silver and glitter nails for a fun touch. And this little bolero that I got in a swap from Megan Mae doesn't come out often enough, but it's something I'll keep just for nights like this. I also layered a short necklace and pendant necklace, which I've haven't done before. Cocktail rings on both hands, one of my full, curly, hairpieces and a sequined hair clip topped off my look. I use holidays like this to bring out all my bling and be extra sparkly. We should have more parties like this during the year. Once a year is not nearly often enough to sparkle!

How did you ring in the New Year?

  2. Pregnancy looks so good on you Keely! We did the hotel thing for New Years a couple of years ago, it was a lot of fun. This year though we opted to stay in with another couple and just play games.

  3. Ohlala you look amazing! I especially love the bolero with that dress. I rang in the new year in my pajamas in bed, watching tv. Lol! I wasn't getting out in the miserable cold weather to do anything crazy.
