Mix It: Stripes and Florals

Tunic: Old Navy Maternity. Blazer: INC.
Leggings: Motherhood Maternity. Boots: Merona.
Bag: Gift. Necklaces: Lia Sophia.

I knew this bold blazer would be a great piece for print mixing. And I love this print mixing thing! It's a fun way to add to interest to any outfit. This blazer is versatile for a few reasons:
  • The print is floral, but ambiguous and abstract so it can be mixed with different prints in various sizes.
  • It has lots of different colors which makes it easy to remix with different tops.
  • It's cropped and fitted, but not too fitted so it goes well with all styles of tops, bottoms and dresses.
I can picture this with a bright maxi dress in spring, a short summer dress on a cool summer night, as well as,  tossed over a tee with skinny or boot cut jeans. So, next time you're out shopping, look for a fun piece that you can remix with your current wardrobe. It will make your tired closet feel fresh again!

  2. That is a fabulous jacket! And it looks great with that tunic. The bright colors are perfect for wintery days. And your boots too awesome! I need some 'soft' jackets, almost all of mine are structured.
