Tunic: Target. Peggings: INC. Socks: Fred Meyer. Boots: Boutique 9 via TJ Maxx. Bag: Giani Bini, gift.
Please ignore the messy hair. I was off to get my hair trimmed.
What to say about this ensemble? First, I got a new handbag for Christmas. At first sight, I thought it a little plain, but I also knew it filled a color void in my collection. I have 20+ handbags, but not dark brown! Once I got the whole thing together, I loved it. This bag will be used a ton!
Moving on to pins and broaches. I spent some time going through my broaches over my vacation and found that I have quite the collection, but rarely wear them. So, I got all of my coats out and put pins on them! Some even have two broaches. Then, instead of a necklace with my cowl neck tunic I added a bold flower broach. I find that when I'm out shopping broaches and pins can get in the way of my purse strap, but I try to work around it.
Do you wear broaches? How do you style them?

I love this whole look, Keely! That tunic is perfect! I've been eyeing it at Target for a while now, but keep passing on it. It looks great on you. And I love the socks and boots, too. Ya know... I don't think I have any broaches!
ReplyDeleteI tagged you in a fun little post today. =)
That is a nice new bag! I have two broaches that I got from Stella and Dot, they are meant to be pinned to necklace strands or I have a clutch that one of them goes with. Been considering using them in a different sort of way too though!
ReplyDeleteThis outfit is so perfect! I love the addition of the broaches and the leopard print jacket (gosh, I still adore that).
ReplyDeleteI don't wear broaches myself (much) because they're often very feminine. I tend towards more androgynous styles for myself.
I love broaches and I am so glad that you are incorporating them--it inspires me to do the same! I love this look Keely, especially the boots!
